Welcome to

Deejay’s Cornet

Cornets and trumpets are played the same way. They used the same fingering positions, the same music, the same cleaning materials. So what’s the difference? The cornet is slightly shorter than the trumpet giving it a slight mellower tone.

Sometime during the late 70’s a man named Chuck Mangione did a song called “Feels So Good” that really caught my ear and inspired me. He played a Flugelhorn which is similar to a cornet but with a different bore – I got a Cornet. I haven’t mastered it by any means but I enjoy learning to play.
