I love the Sax! There’s something totally primal about playing the sax. I can’t think of another instrument that grabs you to the very depths of your soul the way the sax does. I’m learning to play Alto Sax. It’s one of my newest instruments.
The saxophone is classified as a woodwind instrument. Contrary to popular belief it is not the air moving through the instrument that produces the sound but, the reed vibrating in the stream of air blown into the mouth piece that produces those wonderful sounds (and sometimes not so wonderful squeaks and honks).
